A turn of the century Waterbury "Dewey-Manila" model shelf clock. 8-day time and strike movement, winds from the back with a Gold painted embossed dial and Black Arabic numerals. Cast Brass case marked "Hirschi" featuring a portrait of Dewey on the crest with scrolled shape with American Flags above a central Eagle flanked by a Rifle, Anchor, Saber and Cannons. Minor wear, running when cataloged. 14" high. ESTIMATE $200-400

(The dial is worn. The top board has a line through it, but not the Dewey figure. No key. The wood finish does not look original.)
