The elaborate French style spelter case with rococo swirls above the porcelain enamel clock dial flanked by upward reaching cherubs and openings for winding mandrels for the time and strike movement over a waisted portion upon a wide asymmetrical four legged base with even more rococo swirls and floral garland in spelter relief, signed on the movement and the dial.

Measures 13.5 x 9 x 5 inches.

A Rococo style bronze cartel clock, the brass time and strike movement marked Japy Freres, a faint and indecipherable retailer’s name and monogram on the porcelain enamel dial. There is no pendulum. Measures 20.5 x 11 x 5 inches.

Condition

Original finish, the porcelain enamel dial good but with very faint and fine lines near the six position visible upon close inspection. Running condition unknown.
