Seth Thomas Mahogany Grandfather Clock. Brass dial has a 12 in. silvered chapter ring with applied brass hour numbers, silvered sub seconds dial, etched gilt and pierced brass filigree decorated center and corner spandrels with moon phase dial at the top, dial signed Seth Thomas; brass weight driven movement has Graham deadbeat escapement, retaining power, quality 3 spoke brass pulleys, brass covered weights, brass covered pendulum bob with ebonized wood stick, movement unsigned, has a quarter hour Westminster strike on 4 cupped bells and coiled cathedral gong striking the hour. The mahogany carved case has a broken arched crest with center finial and turned side columns on the bonnet, turned and fluted half columns on the body with beveled glass door and inset filigree carved panel in the base. Inside of the case has a jewelers tag for “G.V. Turgeon & Co., Jewelers”, original finish. 96 in. high x 22.5 in. wide x 15.5 in. deep.

Quality brass movement strikes on 9 bells and 5 coiled gongs, 3 quality brass weights and pulleys, brass pendulum bob with steel stick. Carved mahogany case Attr: R. J. Horner, has a serpentine form with broken arch crest with winged griffins and swirling leaves on the bonnet, carved lions heads on the corners of the body, a figural putti on the base and nice claw feet. Large brass dial has a 12 in. silvered chapter ring with applied brass hour numbers, silvered sub seconds dial, moon phase with silvered arch, sub dials for Chime/Silent & Westminster/Eight Bells, fancy gilt brass filigree decorated center and corner spandrels signed “Elliot, London”; pierced hands and brass weight driven movement has Graham deadbeat escapement, retaining power, quality brass weights, pulleys and pendulum bob with steel pendulum stick and 9 silvered tubes signed “Harris & Harrington”, movement is signed on the back plate “J.J. Elliot, London” & “H & H”, with matching number on the seat board 5097. In an excellent mahogany case with broken arched pediment crest having turned finials (center finial has a broken tip), filigree carving and rosettes with long carved triple columns on the bonnet corners; the case has oval shaped beveled glass on the front door and beveled glasses on the sides with turned corner columns, carved shell on the front panels and stands on carved claw feet. Case is in very good condition, has an enhanced oroginal finish. 104 in. high x 29 in. wide x 19 in. deep.

In a beautiful carved mahogany case with arched bonnet top, medallion crest, carved filigree on the frieze, pierced carved side panels and turned columns on the corners with carved capitols; the body has a long beveled glass door with turned columns having carved capitols, inset carved panel in the base with turned corner columns and stands on carved claw feet. In very good condition, case has an excellent original finish. 88.5 in. high x 27 in. wide x 18 in. deep.
