Heavy Seikosha Yasukuni shrine Yuushuukan military motif mantel clock. This mantel clock is in the shape of the Yuushuukan war museum within the Yasukuni shrine complex. The museum and Shinto shrine has been a site of differing opinion, between a monument to the souls of those who fought and died for their emperor versus a shrine and museum that honors class A Japanese war criminals, kamikaze and others of a controversial nature in WWII.

Walnut Gallery Clock. 18 in. original paper dial has large black hour numbers, sub seconds dial, large black spade hands with counterbalances, dial signed Seikosha (became Seiko); brass 8 day spring driven movement with hour count wheel strike mechanism on a coiled gong and long drop pendulum, signed with Seikosha trademark. In a round walnut case with door bezel hinged at the top, in good general condition, refinished; missing pendulum bob, hands are repainted, face has staining. 24 in. dia.
