This is an Antique Steeple Clock by the New Haven Clock Company of New Haven Conn. U.S.A. It measures approx. 20 1/4 inches high and and 11 inches wide. * * * It has a painted metal dial with old style Roman numbers. * * * The works are gotten at through the framed glass door on the front. The top half of the steeple shaped door is clear glass and on the bottom half is a reversed transfer- painting on glass of the Burns Monument. * * * This clock is Time and Strike. It has a pendulum and is key wound.There is a partial paper label on the inside back wall of the clock that gives directions and the company name. * * * The case itself is mahogany and has a walnut veneer. * * * There is a moderate amount of paint loss on the original dial and also on the reverse painting. * * * There are two chips to the veneer on the front top and chips to the front bottom too. This is a nice example of a great American clock.
