Circa 1880 American Jerome & Company 8 Day Mantel Clock with 5″ Good original painted dial, Spring driven brass movement, Rosewood cottage clock with interesting blue reverse painted glasses and good label. Very good condition with minor wear, surface refinished. Needs cleaning. 16″H x 9″W x 3″D

In a mahogany case with reverse painted door glass reading “From C. Jerome, New Haven, Conn.”. 12.25 in. high.

Chauncey Jerome Mahogany Cottage Clock. 5 in. painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals, black painted spade and pointer hands, original dial has some paint loss; dial signed C. Jerome, New Haven, CT. Brass time only spring driven movement, repousse filigree brass covered pendulum bob; movement is inverted with long drop pendulum hanging from the top with crutch pointing upwards and escapement at the bottom of the movement, signed “Chauncey Jerome, New Haven, Conn”. In a mahogany case with dark alligatored finish, original reverse painted door glass having some minor inpainting and overall white paint spatters. 12 in. high.
