The Belgian cast brass table clock from around 1850 features a distinctive look with its bronze elefant figurine. The casing is carried on the animal’s back and is crowned by an amphora. The figurine stands on a rectangular, red marble base.
The table clock is in very good condition with minor signs of age. It starts running and comes with a key. The dimensions are 38 x 22 x 12 cm (height x width x depth), the dial has a diameter of 12.5 cm. The clock ran perfectly during a short-time test; but long term precision and regularity cannot be guaranteed. (ggo)

A turn of the century French brass table clock. 8-day time only movement with platform escapement, dial with porcelain chapter ring, Arabic numerals and cast floral center medallion. Cast brass case with pagoda top and foliate swags above a floral frieze, brass bezel door with Bacchus mask side medallions on a molded base with reticulated detail. Hour Repeater Brass Carriage Clock. 2 in. porcelain dial with black Arabic hour numbers, spade hands and signed Shreve Crump & Low, Boston; brass spring driven French movement has lever platform escapement with good balance, hour strike mechanism strikes once on the half hour and hour repeater button on top of the case. The brass case has a fancy handle with turned finials over turned half columns on the beveled corners and beveled glass on the side and top exposing the escapement. In good running condition. 7.5 in. high x 4 in. wide x 3.5 in. deep.
