French Empire Portico Swing Clock. Dore bronze case with long Corinthian columns, the top frieze has 5 square panels on the front and 2 on each side centered with rosettes under architectural moldings; the base has 6 overlapping wreaths over beveled acanthus leaf molding and square feet. The 9 rod gridiron pendulum hangs from a knife point suspension; the movement contained in the pendulum is signed Lons Paris 1827, is spring driven with a pinwheel escapement, count wheel strike mechanism, 3.5 in. dial with black Roman numerals and black hands. In very good condition; 22.5 in. high x 11 in. wide x 6 in. deep.
