Elliott Double Sided Fusee Post Office Clock. 12 in. painted metal dials in excellent condition with black spade and pointer hands with counterbalance on minute hand, black Roman hour numerals, marked with English registration Âcrown over ERÂ mark and G.P.O. (British General Post Office) mark. Brass spring driven single fusee movement runs 2 opposite facing dials, has a recoil escapement with brass pendulum and beat adjustment at the top of the crutch, movement signed Elliott London with serial number 26212 and has General Post Office marks Â51 EFW 55/1Â indicating the clock is a model 51, by F.W. Elliott, 1955. In very good clean and running condition. The mahogany case has an octagonal form with brass door bezels and glasses on the front and back and hangs in a mahogany wall hanging bracket, the case is also stamped with matching Â51 EFW 55/1Â marks. 25 in. high x 18 in. wide x 8 in. deep.

J.J. Elliott Triple Fusee Musical Wall Bracket Clock & Shelf: The movement strikes every 15 minutes on the 8 bells for Whittintgton chimes or on westminster on 4 large gongs. The hour is struck on a large size gong. The brass dial marked Elliott – London is 13″ wide. Below the dial is a metal disc from the Tobey Furniture Co. of Chicago. The movement back plate is marked in an oval – J.J. Elliott 121 & 123 Rosebery Avenue – London. Below that is England with 5470 under that & H H in a rectangle. The Tobey Furniture Co. carved the massive oak case, crown and shelf. The fusee movement is chain driven with key.
Clock is running and chiming properly at this time. No repair or restoration found or needed.
Clock is 38″ t x 24″ w; shelf is 17 3/8″ x 26 1/2′ x 16 1/4″.
