ANSONIA ‘SUMMER & WINTER’ DOUBLE STATUE CLOCK
Description
The rare and desirable ‘Summer and Winter’ model of Ansonia’s double statue clocks. This one has an electric movement installed but the installation was properly done without damage or lasting effect to the circa 1900 case. The original back door is intact as are the chime hammer, gong and iron gong mount. The circa 1940’s movement was merely tacked in with spots of solder to the original decorative brass bezel that surrounded the original movement. Pick up an original movement for a couple hundred bucks and you have a $3000 clock. Measures 22.5 x 23 x 7.75 inches overall. No breaks, repairs, losses of heavy wear to the case, original silvering on the center plaque, no re-touch to any areas of the case.
