Ansonia Porcelain Crystal Regulator No. 3. Inset 4 in. porcelain dial has black hour numbers with exposed Brocot escapement and jeweled pallets, signed with Ansonia trade mark and has black hands and brass bezel; brass 8 day spring driven movement signed Ansonia Clock Co., has an half hour coiled gong rack & snail strike and 2 jar mercurial pendulum. In a porcelain case having a swirling filigree decorated top with painted winged putti and pink roses on the panels, base has scrolled feet and rose decorated panels on a pale blue and white background with gilt highlights; the body of the case has gilt brass mounted corners with filigree design, beveled glasses on the doors and sides. In very good running condition, hairline in the dial from the center to 5. 18.25 in. high x 9.25 in. wide x 8 in. deep.

Description

Ansonia Crystal Regulator No.3: fitted with an 8 day time and half hour gong striking movement. It has a 4 1/2″ dial with visible escapement and 2 tube simulated mercury pendulum. The Royal Bonn top and bottom has a lustrous finish with gold and blue highlights.

(The outer dial has a fracture between the 4 and 5 to the key slot. The metal finish is worn and there is some green corrosion on the doors frame. The gold is slightly worn on the top and bottom.)

18 1/4″ tall and running at this time.
