Ansonia Double Figure Mantle Clock “Music & Poetry”. 2 cast spelter figures representing an allegory of Music and Poetry, standing on a black enamel decorated iron base with cast spelter mounts and a central clock tower with urn finial and figural maiden’s head side handles with rings. 4.5 in. inset porcelain dial signed “Ansonia Clock Co., New York” has an exposed Brocot escapement; brass 8 day spring driven movement signed “Ansonia Clock Co., New York, USA” has a half hour strike on a coiled gong and is in running condition. Missing the riser at base of finial and missing the tip of the finial, case refinished, 1 jeweled and 1 steel pallet and rear door broken off at the hinge. 19″ high x 18.5″ wide x 8″ deep.
