An early 19th century American Federal Period tall clock. 8-day weight driven time and strike movement, painted metal dial with upper moon phase aperture, Roman hours and Arabic minutes, subsidiary seconds and calendar dials. Mahogany case with contrasting inlay features a hood with broken arch top and Brass finials over a conforming dial door flanked by fluted columns over an arched waist door with inlaid oval and fluted quarter columns on a base with scrolled apron and flared feet. Older refinishing with some wear, minor veneer loss and some damage, crack in base panel, paint flaking and some touch ups to dial, replaced finials, running when cataloged. 92 1/2" high overall.
