C. Kirk Rosewood Marine Cottage Clock. 5 in. paper dial with black Roman hour numerals, fancy black painted hands and brass door bezel. Unusual 8 day movement patented by Charles Kirk has pierced brass front plate and iron rear plate, single spring driven with patented double wheel lever type escapement with large balance wheel, count wheel one hour strike mechanism also powered by the mainspring & strikes on a steel bell; signed C. KirkÂs Patent, New Haven CT, AD 1847. In a rosewood cottage style case with a beautiful enhanced original finish. Paper label on the back for Marine Clock Manufacturing Company, New Haven, Conn., U.S. 11.5 in. high x 9.25 in. wide x 3 in. deep.
