Wonderful Wrought Iron Turret Clock. This early tower clock movement has wrought iron strap plates with keyed through tenon construction, curling wrought finials highlighting the corners, has a large recoil escapement and hour count wheel strike mechanism; large 2 weight driven clock with turned wood barrels, signed on the top front plate “Martin Kratohwil, Zezut, 1837” thought the clock appears to be earlier possibly 17th century. Missing pendulum & weights, missing a few keys which hold the gear posts into place, one spoke on the escape wheel is repaired and the clock has an old lacquered overcoat which was applied for preservation. This is a rare and unusual clock which is a perfect complement for the for the right adaptation. 32 in. high x 33 in. wide x 22 in. deep.
