Gilbert No. 16 Floor Standing Regulator. 12 in. porcelain dial with black Roman hour numerals, open moon hands & brass bezel; brass 8 day weight driven time only movement, deadbeat escapement, retaining power, silvered weight, brass pulley and quality 3 jar cut glass mercurial compensating pendulum. In a carved chestnut floor standing case with arched crest and turned finals on the sides, carved Egyptian maidens head crest, the sides of the case have long carved corbels at the top and bottom, the base with burled and incised panel in the front. Good condition, top finial missing and finial clusters on the crest sides are missing, one replaced rosette and one missing on the crest; case is refinished. 102 in. high x 34 in. wide x 13.5 in. deep.
Description: French Pinwheel Floor Regulator, Empire Style Walnut Case: With a partial paper dial, 90 day double pin wheel movement with mock gridiron pendulum and rope pull wind weight drive. (The original dial is missing – the clock originally had second, minute, hour, day of the week, day of the month and month hands radiating from the center shaft. Only the minute and hour hands remain. The dial trains for the other hands are complete. There is no weight with the clock.) Not tested. Sells as is, where is.

In a walnut floor standing case with broken arched crest centered with maidens head & shell design, carved drapery and incised highlights; door has raised burled panels with carved rosettes and carved side corbels. Refinished, in good overall condition, no hairlines in the porcelain dial. 93 in. high x 33 in. wide x 12.5 in. deep.
