Has an early brass time and strike Patti movement, 8 day, spring driven with crossed – X – in the front and back plates, count wheel strike mechanism, strikes on a steel bell and alarm strikes on the same bell with its spring contained within; has a fancy Patti pendulum with glass insert. E.N. Welch Patti V.P. Rosewood Mantle Clock. High quality rosewood case in good enhanced original finish and decorated door glass. “Patti V.P.” label on the back. The original 5 in. dial with black Roman hour numerals, blued pierced trefoil hands; early version brass 8 day spring driven movement with pierced “X” style plates, hour strike on a silvered bell and fancy Patti pendulum, with glass insert. Partial original paper Patti V.P. label on the back, center finial has a minor repair and one rosette has a small chip, very nice & working condition. 19 in. high x 12 in. wide x 6 in. deep.
