Circa 1860 American Unsigned 30 Hour Wall Clock with 5″ Fair original painted dial with seconds bit, Patent lever escapement spring driven brass movement, Good early clock made to be used on railroad locomotive before the civil war. Fair condition with wear, dial has been touched up and still has a few flecks of paint missing, case is unpolished. Needs cleaning. 5.5″H x 5.5″W x 3″D

French Animated Locomotive Industrial Clock. Excellent bronze case in the form of a steam locomotive on a black marble base with rails, has a stick thermometer on the front of the funnel and large 3 in. paper dial compass in the top, aneroid barometer with 2.5 in. silvered dial mounted in the boiler and timepiece mounted on the side of the cab; wheels are animated by an independent spring driven movement mounted under the train, has cow catcher in the front. Timepiece has a 3.5 in. silvered dial with black hour numbers, brass door bezel with beveled crystal, round brass 8 day spring driven movement has a platform lever escapement and half hour strike on a bell; running, clock strikes, animated mechanism is functional. 16.5 in. high x 20 in. wide x 9 in. deep. Weight: 31.25 lbs.
