Webster English Astronomical Floor Regulator. 12 in. silvered bronze dial has black incised Arabic 5 minute numbers on the chapter ring, sub seconds dial with 10 second numbers and lower sub hour dial with Roman hour numerals, dial signed Webster, London. High quality brass weigh driven astronomical movement has Graham deadbeat escapement with jeweled pallets, maintaining power, fancy turned posts between the plates, brass side weight with quality brass pulley and 1 jar mercurial pendulum with long steel rod and large glass jar. Mahogany floor standing case has an arched top and inset panel in the front of the base. Panel has 2 horizontal stress cracks; clock is in good condition with a nice French polished finish. 71 in. high x 20 in. wide x 11 in. deep.

George Jones No. 8 Astronomical Floor Regulator. Massive 17 in. silvered bronze astronomical dial with sweep minute hand having black incised 5 minute numbers, 5 in. sub seconds dial over 5 in. sub hour dial and good original blued hands; very high quality brass 8 day time only weight driven movement with fancy turned pillars, oversized blued screws, Graham deadbeat escapement with jeweled pallets, maintaining power, dust covers, spoked brass lower pulley with pierced “X” frame, spoked brass top pulley and quality brass covered side weight, has a top quality 3 glass jar mercurial pendulum with engraved steel rod and pendulum bob frame signed “Geo. A. Jones & Co. at No. 5 Courtland St., NY”. In a beautiful floor standing walnut case with overhanging top over fancy carved corbels along the sides; the base has fancy walnut burl with inset panels and figural carved lion’s head in the center. Nice condition, lacquered overcoat on an original alligatored finish, missing crest, repair to one upper front corbel. 97 in. high x 42 in. wide x 15.5 in. deep.

Howard & Co., Boston, Mass.” has black 5 minute numbers outside of the chapter ring, 4 in. sub seconds dial, 4 in. hour dial below with roman hour numerals and blued hands, walnut bezel; quality brass weight driven time only movement signed “E. Howard & Co. Boston” with Graham deadbeat escapement with jeweled pallets, retaining power, brass side weight and brass pulleys; has a 4 steel jar mercurial pendulum with long steel rod, numbered 320-3421. In a carved walnut case with broken pediment crest, turned finial with filigree embellishments, raised panels, scroll carvings and shells on the corners, carving with rosettes on either side of the door and base with inset & raised burled panels. Dial is replaced. 80 in. high x 27 in. wide x 13 in. deep.

Clerke English Astronomical Regulator. 12 in. silvered astronomical dial, signed ÂClerke, 1 Royal Exchange, LondonÂ, has black incised 5 minute numbers on the sweep dial, in the center is a 4 in. sub seconds dial over a 4 in. sub hour dial, beveled silvered brass bezel and good original hands; high quality brass weight driven time only movement has a Graham deadbeat escapement with jeweled pallets, fancy turned posts, maintaining power, high quality 6 spoke brass pulley, brass covered weight and a high quality engraved brass pendulum bob with 1 mercurial jar and silvered steel rod. In an arched top floor standing case with a carved filigree sash below the dial and an inset panel in the base. Case has a French polished finish, has natural veneer seam separation at the top of the arch, clock case and parts are very clean and in very nice condition. 71.5 in. high x 18.5 in. wide x 10.5 in. deep.

A mid 19th century English Astronomical Regulator floor clock. 8 day weight driven time only movement by “W. S. Rose & Son, Liverpool” having a circular painted metal dial with large outer minutes ring and subsidiary seconds and hour dials, faux “Mercury” single vial pendulum with steel rod. Mahogany case with select Crotch Mahogany veneers and round top with single long conforming door and molded base. In running order. Older finish with wear and minor damage, some shrinkage at joints, dial slightly bent, lacks door lock and trim. 80 1/2″ high.
