Waterbury Hall Clock No. 58

Description

Mahogany case with moon phase 8-day movement. Broken arch pediment with three brass finials and reed columns on the bonnet. Quarter reed columns flank the beveled glass door. Case sits upon bracket feet. 25″ x 16″ x 93″ high. Introduced between 1906 – 1910. Single brass tube strikes on hour and half. Owner had the striker disabled. Beautiful condition.

Waterbury “Hall” Clock, The Waterbury Clock Company, Waterbury, Connecticut, c. 1915, with carved pagoda top, free-standing columns flanking the arched and glazed hood door over the composite brass dial with Arabic numerals and applied brass spandrels, glazed waist door, carved base and feet, eight-day time and strike movement with lantern pinions, two brass shelled weights and pendulum, ht. 95 1/2 in.
