J.C. Brown Miniature Steeple Shelf Clock. 4 in. original painted metal dial with black Roman hour numerals and fancy hands (replaced), signed J.C. Brown; brass spring driven movement has an hour count wheel strike mechanism on a coiled gong and a brass covered pendulum bob. Rosewood steeple form case with turned corner finials in good condition, original reverse painted tablet with homestead scene is in good condition with some inpainting; paper label in the back of the case for J.C. Brown. Case is in good overall condition with a nice enhanced original finish. 16 in. high x 8 in. wide x 3.75 in. deep.

Brown Ripple Front Miniature Steeple Clock. 4.5 in. new painted metal dial with black Roman hour numerals, period hands; brass spring driven movement has an hour strike on a coiled gong and brass covered pendulum bob, movement signed J.C. Brown, Forestville, Conn. In a rosewood steeple form case with carved ripple front and turned corner finials; reverse decorated frosted tablet has filigree and a hot air balloon over a lake. In good condition, has original glasses, cleaned and enhanced finish and a small chip to the tip of one finial. 16 in. high x 8.5 in. wide x 3.5 in. deep.
