Ships Bell Desk Clock w/ Barometer & Thermometer. Upright mahogany panel mounted with a ships bell clock, thermometer & aneroid barometer, each signed ÂH. Hughes & Sons Ltd., 59 Frenchurch St., London, E.C. and numbered 4518. Clock has a 5 in. silvered dial with black Roman hour numerals, black hands & brass 8 day spring driven French movement with platform lever escapement & ships bell strike on a bell at the top of the movement, forged brass case with a threaded flanged bezel. Matching aneroid barometer to the right with 5 in. dial and an 8 in. stick thermometer in the center with brass bezel. In good condition, running and original finish. 14 in. high x 22.5 in. wide x 5 in. deep.

Unusual to find all 3 devices together, alarm, thermometer and barometer with apparently original tubing, Waterbury Oak Kitchen clock with old refinished surface, crane in cat tails on the front original tablet, original face, excellent condition, all pieces and trim seemingly here. Original label on the back stating that this is the Gibson model striking on the half hour and is an 8 day movement. 23 1/2″ tall by 15″ wide. 1890-1910 era.
