A 19th century Waterbury "No. 44" model calendar shelf clock. 8-day time, strike and alarm movement with painted metal dials, Roman numerals on the time dial and Arabic on the calendar dial. Walnut case with incised carving and shaped crest over a single long door with reverse painted glass on a molded base. Paper labels 70% intact. Older refinishing with minor wear, craquelure and minor losses to dials, rollers quite dark, running when cataloged. 24" high. ESTIMATE $300-400

A late 19th century Waterbury "Calendar No. 44" model shelf clock. 8-day time, strike and alarm movement with lower calendar mechanism and painted metal dials. Oak case with a shaped crown and carved detail over a single long door with reverse painted glass and a molded base. Older refinishing with some wear, dial wear and flaking, door glass touched up with flaking, running when cataloged. 23 3/4" high. ESTIMATE $200-300
