Circa 1860 English Simpson & Starkey Hatten Garden, LONDON 8 Day Wall Clock with 12″ Original painted signed zinc dial with fine cut steel hands, Shouldered unringed brass fusee movement lacking pendulum, Good walnut dial clock with heavy brass bezel refitted with old glass. Dial signed “Simpson & Starkey/Hatten Garden/LONDON”. Turned mahogany case with well fitted mahogany dove tailed box with the label K.C.Schwartze / CHRONOMETER/and WATCH MAKER 524 Batter Street/SAN FRANCISCO.. Original finish with shrinkage crack near III, lacks most of the banding near side access door, damage to cock beading on lower access door and other very small dings, dial 5% flake and 5% touched up. 14.5″H x 14.5″W x 6″D
