Estimate by Auctionata Expert: 17,000 Euro
The Franconian courtly Baroque clock delights with its musical mechanism for ten melodies on 18 bells. It is triggered on the hour and on manual setting. Furthermore, the masterpiece of the watchmaking features an alarm strike on bell. The casing is manufactured from walnut and other woods and shows a rich ribbon and floral dcor. The gilt brass dial adorned with seed beads in the spandrels is also particularly striking.
Condition:
The clock is in good condition and mostly functional, but long-term precision and regularity cannot be guaranteed. An overhaul, cleaning and adjustment by a specialist is recommended. The originally attached figures and the pendulum spring are missing. The regulator for the selection of the melodies and the brass pendulum with a gilt brass lens are later additions. The clock has an overall height of 261 cm. It comes with three keys and a crank.
