Chelsea Ships Bell Mantle Clock. Silvered dial has a 4 in. chapter ring with black incised Arabic hour numbers, open moon hands, beat regulator and lever for silent-chime, signed Chelsea Ships Bell. Quality brass spring driven movement signed Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, U.S.A. and numbered 852066, lever escapement in good working condition, rack and snail strike mechanism with ships bell strike on a coiled gong. In a gilt brass case with ships wheel around the bezel, in overall good condition, one of the 3 mounts behind dial plate is broken and case has some tarnish to the surface. On a mahogany base with a serpentine form and stands on spherical feet. 8 in. dia. x 10 in. high x 18 in. wide x 3.75 in. deep.

In a brass ships wheel case with hinged door bezel, splayed base, 2 tone finish and mahogany back and bottom with matching number. In running condition, base is engraved ÂTo Our Chief And Colleague, Francis L. Lederer, Mc-V S-USNR, as a token of our Esteem, July 1942Â. 17 in. high x 12.5 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep.
