Viennese Silver & Enamel Nautilus Clock. Enamel decorated and gilt engraved silver clock is decorated with classical and mythical Roman figures in a forest scenic surrounding the base and the nautilus-form top; has a figural dolphin stem and finial takes the form of Venus in a clam shell. Mounted on the top of the nautilus is the 1” porcelain dial with brass spring driven time only verge and fusee movement; hallmarked with maker’s initials “I.P.” in an oval and “A” in a box hallmark for Vienna, no visible silver purity marks. Appears in good overall condition, has only light chipping where the stem meets the base of the shell; movement not running. 8.75” high. Weight: 0.75 lbs.
