German, Black Forest, Very Large Hunter Motif cuckoo clock, weight driven, time and strike movement of one day duration. Total height with weights showing is nearly four feet, extra fine detail on stag's head & 10 inch antlers, also on rabbit and pheasant. Deer and rabbit with glass eyes. Crossed muzzle load percussion rifles with extra detail. Cast iron weights simulate pine cones. Balance of trim is carved oak leaves & branches, 3 dimensional with curves & waves. Articulated cuckoo bird with moving beak and wings. Heavy cast brass lyre movement. Overall exceptional.
