Very early redware Delft style French clock by Japy Freres. Springs all good, jeweled porcelain face. Has repair on top finial (see photo). 8" wide, 17" tall, 5" deep.

A late 19th century French figural mantel clock by Japy Freres. 8-day time and strike movement with a metal dial and applied Roman numerals on porcelain plaques. Cast Spelter case with figure of a woman holding a planet, possibly the Goddess of Astronomy Urania, over a scrolled base with foliate detail. Minor case wear, lacks pendulum, not running when cataloged. 14 3/4" high. ESTIMATE $200-300

French Japy Freres, Oriental Style Clock: the time and bell striking movement is marked Japy Freres & Cie, numbered 4110. the 5″ polished slate dial has John Bolland- St. Louis painted on it along with fancy Roman numerals. The dial’s center is metal with vines and a butterfly. The case is made of slate and brown marble with brass ornaments and scenic metal front plate showing cranes and foliage. It is topped with a mythical animal with curled horns.
(The time of strike needs adjusted. The back access door is a replacement, also its mounting plate.)
