French Mystery Conical Shelf Timepiece, Circa 1890, 3″8-day, brass spring driven movement, quality cast decorative tripod frame with 3 1/2″ brass ball dial, the pendulum suspended by a thread gains its motivation by means of a rotating tail from the top of the ball, the hands, numerals and ball have been repainted blue, an unusual rare and collectors item, very good restored condition. Height 15″, Width 5″, Depth 5″.

French Figural Mystery Swinger Clock. Standing cast metal figure of a woman wearing lose robes blowing in the breeze, holds a set of dividers in her right hand and holds the pendulum up in her left, the pendulum has a long brass rod with beveled glass bob, gilt finish and is numbered on the bottom Â1790Â; she stands on a gilt brass platform signed ÂPH. Mourey and matching number 1790, as the movement runs it swivels the platform and figure slightly clockwise then counter clockwise swinging the pendulum which regulates the clock. 4 in. white onyx dial has applied pierced brass Roman hour numerals, gilt spade hands and a gilt brass bezel; round French brass 8 day spring driven movement is signed ÂGLT (Guilmet) and numbered 1647, has a half hour count wheel strike on a single bell. Fluted plinth style white onyx case with gilt metal ribbon, corbel, shield mounts & feet, stands on a gilt carved wood platform base. In good running condition, no breaks, chips or repairs to the onyx. 25.5. in. high.

French Rare and Unusual Large Gilt Bronze Skeleton Clock, Circa 1840, 4 1/2″ enamel dial, 30-day, heavy brass double fusee movement, very unusual large skeleton clock, in English style, large gilt bronze case, columns that support the movement have engraved decorative elements, a very similar clock with the signature of C. Detouche a Paris, who was a well-known instructional clock maker in France, is pictured in the book “Skeleton Clocks” by F.B. Royer-Collard, pages 85-86, excellent condition overall, beat plate indicator replacement, dome and base probably not original to this clock. Height 21″ (including dome).

French Movement Marked GLT (Possibly Guillemet) French Mystery Conical Pendulum Clock, Circa 1885, 5″ incised marble dial, 8-day, brass movement signed “GLT”, red marble with gilt bronze skirt & feet, patinated spelter statue, excellent condition, nicely restored throughout. A very rare and remarkable clock with a beveled glass crystal pendulum that constantly swings to & fro by means of a slight vibration secretly giving an impulse.
