Nickel Chelsea deck clock fitted with a 11 jewel, 8 day movement. Has a black face marked with U.S. Navy Mark 1 Deck Clock, 9559, 1941″. The clock is mounted by a hinge to the circular mounting plate. The numerals 289-914 are scratched onto the back of the clock case and the mounting plate. 5 1/2″ face x 8″ overall.

Chelsea U.S. Navy Mark I Boat Clock. 3.5 in. black painted dial with white incised hour numbers and sub seconds dial with glow-painted spade hands and hour markers, signed Mark 1 Boat Clock, U.S. Navy, 3646 and dated 1941; quality brass spring driven movement has silvered plates, platform lever escapement with synchronizing Seconds Pause switch and back plate with sliding dust covers over the arbor holes, signed Chelsea Clock Co. Boston, USA and numbered 286965. In a forged brass case with flanged bezel and tub is set in a pin-barrel hinge to the back plate. 6 in. dia.
