Late 19th century quarter sawn American golden oak nine tube Herschedes movement Gothic Revival tall case clock from Tiffany and Co., New York, features a very rare intricately carved case by R.J. Horner with standing figures playing horns and bagpipes, and a pierce carved scrolling design on the central door flanked by carved cherub heads. The base cabinet features a relief carved scene of three men in medieval garb seated around a table, 103″h x 24″w x 18″d.

Silvered chapter ring with applied brass Arabic hour numbers, sub seconds dial and moon phase dial, fancy pierced swirling leaf decoration in the center of the dial and spandrels, has fancy pierced black hour and minute hands, sub seconds dial, Chime/Silent lever and singed Tiffany & Co. on a silvered plaque. Quality brass movement strikes on 5 silvered tubes signed Walter H. Durfee, has 3 quality brass weights and pulleys, brass pendulum bob with steel stick. Carved mahogany case Attr: R. J. Horner, has a serpentine form with broken arch crest, winged griffins and swirling leaves on the bonnet, carved lions heads on the corners of the body, with a figural putti on the base and claw feet. In good running condition. 105 in. high
