This classical French spelter clock with gold finish depicts Psyche being awakened by Eros' kiss. It is entitled "Amour et Psyche" and is copied from the original in the Louvre, in Paris, and has a Made In France seal on the reverse. The base is white Carrara marble. The clock was manufactured by JB Hirsch, New York and features an enameled dial with delicate flowers and garland. Measures 22"H X 20"W. The Bell, glass case and Pendulum are missing from the clock. . The back clock cover is missing. The key is present. Starts up but does not keep proper time over an extended period of time.
