Eli Terry Pillar and Scroll Shelf Clock, Plymouth, Connecticut, c. 1825, scroll top case, freestanding turned columns, beautiful hand painted dial with flowers and raised gilt corners, reverse painted tablet, label, “Patent Clocks, made and sold at Plyouth, Connecticut by Eli Terry, Inventor and Patentee”, has hand written name and date (1858) written on label. Wooden works, weight driven, key wind, with pendulum. Measures approx. 31″ tall x 17″ wide x 4 1/2″ deep. Many Eli Terry Clocks which depict a home or building on the reverse painted glass tablet, are actual homes in the Town of Plymouth and surrounding Connecticut towns of the time period.

Eli Terry Drop Wall Regulator. 12 inch repainted metal dial with black Roman hour numerals, brass 8 day weight driven movement with long wood pendulum stick, brass covered bob, brass pulley and an iron weight. In a rosewood long drop keyhole style case with rounded door bezel and reverse painted gilt and black lower tablet. In good condition with and enhanced original finish, original tablet has original paint which is overpainted with black, case is missing weight baffle. c.1830. 42 in. high x 18 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep.
