Elmer O. Stennes Girandole Banjo Clock. The clock has typical fancy pierced hands, signed metal painted 6.5 in. dial with black Roman hour numerals, black chapter ring with black minute markers, typical brass 8 day time only movement signed “E. O. Stennes Weymouth, Mass”, steel pendulum rod, brass pulley, brass bob, lock down hardware, lead weight signed – E.O. Stennes. Elaborate Girandole presentation banjo case has a large gilt eagle, elaborate gilt base, solid brass bezel and balls, presentation throat with rope molding and gilt lower door with gilt balls, Aurora lower door signed reverse painted glass and reverse painted Patent throat glass. The case is in overall magnificent condition. This is a nice looking well cared for clock. Presentation inscription on the back of the case – my friend Lawrence Smith – dated 1975 and signed Elmer O. Stennes. 45 in. high x 12 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep
