Spencer Wooster & Co Triple Decker Clock c.1840. 9.5 in. chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals, sub seconds dial with gilt spandrels and center embellishment, blued spade hands; brass, weight driven movement has rack & snail strike mechanism with coiled gong, brass covered pendulum bob, brass pulleys and large iron weights. In a mahogany case with splayed cornice top, turned double finials on each side, scenic reverse painted tablet in the door and lower reverse painted tablet, both in good condition with some minor flaking to the paint and no inpainting. Clock is in very good, restored condition, clean refinish, dial is nicely repainted and replaced hands. Attr:Spencer Wooster & Co. Salem Bridge, Ct.
