A fine Philadelphia tall case clock. signed on the lower portion of the hand painted dial, "Solomon Parke Philadel". At the top of the clock's face is a hand painted moon dial with a finely painted ship. The top of the hood has a broken pediment with a center spire and finials on either side of the arches. The sides of the hood with full columns. The waist portion of the clock has fluted quarter columns, and the clock rests on bracket feet. Broken pediment above the hood, chamfered corners to the waist and base of the clock resting on ball & Claw Chippendale feet. Circa 1790 Oak Tall Case Clock: With bell strike and anchor escapement, the movement is described by the appraiser as being continuous chain 30 hour. The dial has an attached label below the hands “Anno 1790 – GUHB155”. Above the dial is another player with an engraved eagle and “TEMPUS FUGIT”. There are carved designs in the door and base panels of the dark oak case. The joints are all pegged together. The top door has the original staple hinges. The lower door has the original brass hinges of the period.

Description: American Cherry Tall Case Clock, Circa 1790: T & S wood works and a 30 hour movement with a painted wood dial with seconds and days of the month. The arch of the dial is decorated with an eagle with flags and 17 stars. Not tested. (The wood works have been partially restored.) Sells as is, where is.

A fine Philadelphia Mahogany tall case clock circa 1790-1820. Has a broken arch top above a tombstone shaped door. Inside the door is a hand painted dial with a moon phase dial above. The clock has a nice carved detail where the the waist section meets the lower case section, and the clock rests on a Hepplewhite or French foot. Measures approx. 95"h. A fine tall case clock, circa 1800. Has a broken arch top above a hand painted dial. Either side of the dial outside of the hood are full columns. The unusual center waist section has a looking glass, "or almost a porthole design", and is flanked by fluted quarter columns, above an equally unusual carved base, almost in a compass design. The clock rests on a French foot. Measures approx. 92.5"h. Includes all finials as seen in later photos, pendulum, and two weights. 8 day clock
