Silas Hoadley Transitional Shelf Clock, Plymouth, Connecticut, c. 1830, mahogany case topped by a stenciled splat with split columns flanking the full length door, all on French feet, painted wood dial, stenciled and reverse-painted lower table, very nice label “Clocks. Arranged and Manufactured by Silas Hoadley, Plymouth, (Conn.)”, thirty-hour, weight driven, wooden works clock with key wind and pendulum. Many Silas Hoadley which depict a home or building on the reverse painted glass tablet, are actual homes in the Town of Plymouth and surrounding Connecticut towns of the time period. Measures approx. 29″ tall x 17″ wide x 4 1/2″ deep.

Silas Hoadley, Plymouth, CT column and splat weight driven shelf clock. Beautiful stenciling, fruit basket on splat and flowers stenciled on columns. Fantastic label! Nice glass and hand painted dial with open diamond hands, measures approx. 26 1/2″ tall x 17″ wide x 4 1/2″ deep. Many Silas Hoadley Clocks which depict a home or building on the reverse painted glass tablet, are actual homes in the Town of Plymouth and surrounding Connecticut towns of the time period.
