Silas Hoadley Transitional Shelf Clock, Plymouth, Connecticut, c. 1830, mahogany case topped by a stenciled splat with split columns flanking the full length door, all on French feet, painted wood dial, stenciled and reverse-painted lower table, very nice label “Clocks. Arranged and Manufactured by Silas Hoadley, Plymouth, (Conn.)”, thirty-hour, weight driven, wooden works clock with key wind and pendulum. Many Silas Hoadley which depict a home or building on the reverse painted glass tablet, are actual homes in the Town of Plymouth and surrounding Connecticut towns of the time period. Measures approx. 29″ tall x 17″ wide x 4 1/2″ deep.

Mahogany case with shaped carved crown above a single door with clear upper and two painted lower glasses, flanked by stenciled half columns, on carved paw feet. Older finish in fair condition, restored painted glasses. 39″ high.
