Arranged and Manufactured by Silas Hoadley, Plymouth, (Conn.)”, thirty-hour, weight driven, wooden works clock with key wind and pendulum. Many Silas Hoadley which depict a home or building on the reverse painted glass tablet, are actual homes in the Town of Plymouth and surrounding Connecticut towns of the time period. Beautiful label, “Time is Money” “Franklin Clocks with improvement of bushing the pivots with ivory, arranged and manufactured by Silas Hoadley, Plymouth, Conn.” This clock is referred to by collectors as upside down woodworks movement clock. Originally this clock was marketed by Silas Hoadley in honor of Ben FranklinÕs famous quote ÒTime Is MoneyÓ. Measures approx. 37″ tall x 17″ wide x 4″ deep.
