Seth Thomas Rosewood Regulator No. 1 Extra. 14″ painted metal dial with black Roman hour numerals, sub seconds and fancy blued hands; pierced brass 8 day “side-weight” driven movement, unsigned, deadbeat escapement, hour strike on a coiled gong, long gilt wood pendulum stick with brass covered bob. In a rosewood case with octagonal top and long drop with original reverse painted and gold leaf tablet; good paper label and beat indicator on the original wood weight baffle. Refinished, case in good overall condition, replaced dial, tablet overpainted black, missing weights. 51.5″ high x 19.75″ wide x 5.5″ deep. Weight: 21.75 lbs.

Seth Thomas Regulator No. 1 Extra: 14 1/2″ metal dial with an 8 day time and gong striking movement. Lower glass and pendulum are original and driven by 2 weights. The interior sliding panel for weight access is intact. The brass pendulum ball has a factory view and Seth Thomas info stamped into it. Made at Plymouth Hollow.

(The dial shows some wear and paint loss, the very bottom piece of the case is a replacement and there are some minor veneer problems.)

The walnut case has a 10 sided top with rounded door bezel and lower door with reverse painted & gilt leaf tablet. In good condition, has minor paint flaking to the dial and tablet. 42 in. high x 20 in. wide x 6.5 in. deep.
