Seth Thomas Off Center Pillar & Scroll with seconds bit, 30 hour, Tiger Maple, wooden works clock. C. 1817 with Moberg reverse repainted glass, 3 brass finials, 2 weights, small key for door. This clock is pictured in Taylor’s “The Developmental Era of Eli Terry & Seth Thomas Shelf Clocks pp. 38-39). Measures approx. 16 1/2″ wide x 30″ tall (to top of finial) x 4 1/4” deep.

Mahogany scroll top case with painted wood dial, raised gilt decoration and two heehives below the center, reverse painted lower glass of country house with stenciled border (small crack in upper right corner), very nice label “Patent Clocks, Invented by Eli Terry. Made and Sold at Plymouth, Connecticut by Seth Thomas”. 30 hour wooden works weight driven clock, key wind, pendulum. Measures approx. 29″ tall x 17 1/4″ wide x 5″ deep.

Shelf Clock, Circa 1825, 10 1/2″ original painted wood dial with minor fading & some retouching, 30-hour, wood movement, pillar & scroll clock in mahogany with urn finials & high arched bracket base, similar clock listed in “Two Hundred Years of American Clocks & Watches” by Chris Bailey #145, page 133, repairs to original top, bottom correct replacement, restored lower reverse painted tablet, movement complete needing adjustment and minor repairs.
