Seth Thomas Mahogany Grandfather Clock. Brass dial has a 12 in. silvered chapter ring with applied brass hour numbers, silvered sub seconds dial, etched gilt and pierced brass filigree decorated center and corner spandrels with moon phase dial at the top, dial signed Seth Thomas; brass weight driven movement has Graham deadbeat escapement, retaining power, quality 3 spoke brass pulleys, brass covered weights, brass covered pendulum bob with ebonized wood stick, movement unsigned, has a quarter hour Westminster strike on 4 cupped bells and coiled cathedral gong striking the hour. The mahogany carved case has a broken arched crest with center finial and turned side columns on the bonnet, turned and fluted half columns on the body with beveled glass door and inset filigree carved panel in the base. Inside of the case has a jewelers tag for ÂG.V. Turgeon & Co., JewelersÂ, original finish. 96 in. high x 22.5 in. wide x 15.5 in. deep.
