George Lumsden Scottish Rocking Ship Tall Case Clock. 12 in. metal dial signed “Geoe. Lumsden, Pittenweem” with painted Roman hour numerals, sub seconds dial, sub calendar dial, fancy pierced brass hands, painted corner spandrels with castle towers and Scottish ships; the top arch has a decorated front panel with cut castle scene and center ship rocking with the beat of the escapement. Brass weight driven movement with recoil escapement, iron bell at the top of the movement with half hour drop hammer strike, brass pulleys, iron weights and steel pendulum rod with brass covered bob. In a mahogany tall case with broken arched crest on the bonnet having brass ball & eagle finials, spiral turned columns, spiral turned columns on the body with carved and bowed front door panel. Case has an enhanced original finish, is in good general condition. 83 in. high x 19 in. wide x 10 in. deep.
