Scottish Mahogany Weight Driven Tall Case Clock. 12.5″ engraved brass dial signed in the arch “William Freebairn, Ruthenglen” with black incised Roman hour numerals, 5 minute numbers, sub seconds, sub calendar and pierced decorated brass filigree and dolphin spandrels; brass 8 day weight driven movement has an anchor escapement, hour strike on a bell on top with solid brass pulleys, iron weights and long steel pendulum rod with brass covered bob. In a mahogany case with crest having spun brass finials over turned corner columns; bowed door panel at the waist flanked by turned half columns, large inset panel in the base. Old overcoated finish; running and striking. 88″ high x 18″ wide x 10.25″ deep.

Scottish Mahogany Weight Driven Tall Case Clock. 14″ painted metal dial inscribed “W. Marshall, Wishaw” with black Roman hour numerals, sub seconds, sub calendar, pierced brass hands with paint decorated arch and corner spandrels titled “Gentle Sheppard”, displays maidens at the corners and scene of a shepherd playing fluted, accompanied by 2 women and a dog. Brass 8 day weight driven movement with anchor escapement has an hour strike on a bell at the top, long steel pendulum rod with iron bob and 2 iron weights hanging from solid brass pulleys. In a mahogany case with filigree carved bonnet crest over turned corner columns; bowed door panel at the waist flanked by turned half columns and finials, a large inset panel in the base and stands on turned feet. Old overcoated finish, missing crest finial, replaced bonnet glass, dial repainted, bottom panel with weight damage; running and striking. 87.5″ high x 20″ wide x 9.25″ deep.

Early Oak Weight Driven Tall Case Clock. Painted metal dial has 10 in. chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals and 5 minute markers outside, gilt borders, pierced nickel hands and scenic brass coin set in the arch; has a weight driven movement with steel plates & posts, recoil escapement with long drop pendulum, drop hammer strike on the hour and quarter hour on 2 steel bells at the top of the movement and 3 weights hanging on chains. Carved oak case has an arched top on the bonnet with mullions over the side glasses; has a long & thin form with carved front and sides, round viewing hole in the door exposes the swinging pendulum and stands on turned feet. Dial has paint loss and inpainting, quarter hour strike hammer has damage to the arm; missing weights. 94 in. high x 17 in. wide x 10 in. deep.

Has an 8 day brass weight driven movement with recoil escapement, one hour drop hammer bell strike, brass pulleys and long pendulum with brass covered bob and steel rod. In a mahogany case with arched and pierced carved crest, turned columns on the bonnet with brass capitals and turned quarter columns on the body. Case is in good condition, refinished and polished; missing the 2 weights and 3 finials. 90 in. high x 17 in. wide x 9 in. deep.

Second Quarter of 19th.c. Dial Signed “John C. Farr & Co. Philad” with the number “99” hand painted under the “Co.” and the “Philad”. Painted Dial with patch of paint loss on lower left of dial. Terrestrialhemispheres (faded) above dial. Dial with Hour, Calendar, and Moon Phases. Numerals on upper calendar ring are faded. Roman Numeral designating the hour with Arabic Numerals designating quarters. CornerMedallions on dial decorated with painted yellow and red flowers. Moon Phase dial decorated with a Sailing Ship at Sea, a Country Homestead, and 2 Moons-possibly repainted. Hood with Swan’s neck pedimentand central keystone over arched face (missing door) flanked by turned colonnettes. Case with central crotch mahogany pendulum door with brass escutcheon flanked by nicely turned columns over decorative crotchmahogany panel. Base with single bookmatched recessed panel on turned feet. Missing 3 finials. 8′ tall.

English Mahogany Weight Driven Long Case Clock. 13 in. painted metal dial signed ÂWm. Callowy, LeedsÂ, has black Roman hour numerals, sub seconds dial, sub calendar dial, floral painted corner spandrels and painted scene in the arch of a crowned king playing a harp; brass 8 day weight driven movement has a half hour strike on a bell at the top of the movement, solid brass pulleys and pr. of iron weights. In a large mahogany floor standing case, bonnet has a broken arch pediment crest with spun brass finials and applied rosettes, spiral turned column, the body has a fancy shaped door carved from a single panel, has squat quarter columns inset at the corners and a block form base with large inset center panel; 2 board back. Case has very attractive grain in the mahogany, feet are replaced and rear legs are cut, base board replaced, case is in nice restored condition; original dial is repainted and has a repair to one rear post mounting it top the movement, replaced hour, minute & calendar hands, movement is clean and in running condition. 98 in. high x 26 in. wide x 11 in. deep.
