Scottish Rosewood Drumhead Grandfather Clock. Original 14 in. gilt painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals, sub seconds dial over a 31 date sub calendar dial, pierced hands and dial signed ÂWillm. Davie, FalkirkÂ. Quality brass 8 day weight driven movement has recoil escapement, hour rack strike mechanism with drop hammer strike on an iron bell at the top of the movement, brass pulleys, iron weights and steel pendulum rod with iron bob. In a rosewood case with round drumhead top having a pierced carved crest, shell and scroll design carved at the shoulder, turned half columns on the body with a bowed door, inset panel in the base and stands on French feet. Enhanced original finish, in good overall condition; 90 in. high x 20 in. wide x 10 in. deep.

An unusual early 19th century Scottish Dwarf tall clock by J. Clark, Perth. 8-day time only fusee movement with original gut and engraved Brass dial with “Green-man” mask, signed “J. Clark-Perth”. Flame mahogany “Drum head” case with slide off hood, beaded corners and original bracket feet. In running order. The hood appears to have never had a glass. Some wear and minor veneer damage, upper section of backboard may be an old replacement. 27″ high.
