An early 19th century Scottish Grandfather clock. 30 hr weight driven time and strike movement by “John Hay, Leith” with original painted dial with date aperture and floral detail. Oak and Mahogany case with broken arch hood and shaped upper door flanked by turned columns, shaped waist door, above a simple paneled base with bracket feet. In running order. Case refinished with minor wear, minor repair. 86 1/2″ high overall.

An early 19th century Scottish Grandfather clock. 8 day weight driven time and strike movement with original painted dial with subsidiary seconds and date dials, painted “Come under my Plaidie” scenic decoration in arch and Allegorical “Four Season’s” corners. Mahogany case with broken arch hood, carved rosettes and Brass Phoenix finial and shaped upper door flanked by fluted columns, rectangular waist door with shaped top flanked by fluted quarter columns above a simple molded base with bracket feet. In running order. Case refinished with minor wear, base with separations, restored feet. 87 1/2″ high overall.

George Lumsden Scottish Rocking Ship Tall Case Clock. 12 in. metal dial signed ÂGeoe. Lumsden, Pittenweem with painted Roman hour numerals, sub seconds dial, sub calendar dial, fancy pierced brass hands, painted corner spandrels with castle towers and Scottish ships; the top arch has a decorated front panel with cut castle scene and center ship rocking with the beat of the escapement. Brass weight driven movement with recoil escapement, iron bell at the top of the movement with half hour drop hammer strike, brass pulleys, iron weights and steel pendulum rod with brass covered bob. In a mahogany tall case with broken arched crest on the bonnet having brass ball & eagle finials, spiral turned columns, spiral turned columns on the body with carved and bowed front door panel. Case has an enhanced original finish, is in good general condition. 83 in. high x 19 in. wide x 10 in. deep.

Original 14 in. gilt painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals, sub seconds dial over a 31 date sub calendar dial, pierced hands and dial signed ÂWillm. Davie, FalkirkÂ. Quality brass 8 day weight driven movement has recoil escapement, hour rack strike mechanism with drop hammer strike on an iron bell at the top of the movement, brass pulleys, iron weights and steel pendulum rod with iron bob. In a rosewood case with round drumhead top having a pierced carved crest, shell and scroll design carved at the shoulder, turned half columns on the body with a bowed door, inset panel in the base and stands on French feet. Enhanced original finish, in good overall condition; 90 in. high x 20 in. wide x 10 in. deep.
