Single Fusee Skeleton Clock w/Scissor Pendulum: replica of the French original, circa 1830’s. Unmarked, with a 4 1/2″ porcelain ring dial. The scissor pendulums seem too light to let the clock work properly.

Scissor Pendulum Fusee Skeleton Clock

Description

Scissor pendulum fusee skeleton clock, circa 20th century. Fancy engraved pierced scissor shaped brass plates with vertical stacked gears over the chain fusee spring driving the clock, has fancy pierced silvered scissor style pendulum bobs each connecting to an opposite pallet of the escapement; has a 5 in. porcelain time dial with open center and scissor shaped hands, 1 in. sub dials indicating the date & day of the week. On a 2 tone maple base with inlaid panels on the sides and front drawer and a tall rectangular glass dome with gilt brass framing and door in the front. In good condition & running. H. 24 1/2 inches. W. 13 1/2 inches. D. 9 1/2 inches.
