The sides with applied female caryatid figures. The white engine-turned dial with gilt hands, framed with diamonds. The base with diamond garlands, and laurel branches, torches, arrows, supported on a round foot.

Mounted on the top of the nautilus is the 1 porcelain dial with brass spring driven time only verge and fusee movement; hallmarked with makerÂs initials ÂI.P. in an oval and ÂA in a box hallmark for Vienna, no visible silver purity marks.
