French 3 Piece Marble Clock Garniture Set : The bell striking movement is numbered 51 & 21. The porcelain dial has painted flowers and fancy openwork hands. In an Empire style case with decorative side pieces.

The clock is running and striking at this time.

(The time of strike is reversed. The case has small scattered nicks on the edges.)

French Japy Freres Garniture Clock Set, 3 Piece: T & S with the movement marked Japy Freres; has a fancy floral dial; with a statue of a girl harvesting grapes; there are porcelain inset panels; has a pair of matching side candelabras; each piece sits on a wood base painted gold.

Description: Antique French Japy Freres Porcelain Panel Garniture Set: T & S with a metal dial with incised numerals. The movement is signed “Japy Freres and LeRoy & Fils” and numbered 1079. The pendulum and key are with the clock. The gilt brass case has porcelain panels decorated with various scenes of cherubs, musicians, angels, dignitary heads and animals. The side candelabras have related scenes in matching colors. (The clock is not running.) Sells as is, where is.

A clock and urn set consisting of a French made clock of the early 1890s with two matching urns, all in pink-red verigeited marble with gold plated mounts.

An exceptionally well-crafted clock celebrating the middle ages cathedral at Reims, France. The Reims cathedral. often referred to by architectural students “…as the most beautiful structure produced during the middle ages”, stands as a proud symbol of France itself. The model, set with a working clock, is one of the best detailed and well cast clocks we have yet to see, made at a time when the French were at their peak of producing fine fire gilt castings. Hard to see, but a careful inspector will note the use of colored “stined” glass in the windows. The clock itself runs with a silk suspension and count wheel strike, indicating an earlier date, possibly even 18th century. It is fit with a device to cause striking on a deep resonating gong in its ebonized base (with brass inlay). This together with what appears to the the original glass cover and framed print of the cathedral. .
